Kellie Acosta is a board-certified Physician Associate with over 10 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, and pediatrics. She holds a Master’s in Cell Biology from California Polytechnic State University and a Master of Medical Science in Physician Associate Studies from Yale University.

At Kona Health & Aesthetics, Kellie offers a thoughtful, evidence-based approach that blends conventional medicine with integrative strategies. She provides acute care for common conditions—such as infections, injuries, and minor procedures—while also conducting in-depth evaluations to help patients identify and manage long-term risk factors for cardiovascular, metabolic, and neurodegenerative disease.

Her practice is guided by the principles of Medicine 3.0, a model popularized by Dr. Peter Attia that emphasizes data-driven, proactive care designed to enhance longevity and preserve function across the lifespan.

Kellie moved to the Big Island 20 years ago after marrying Jesse, whose family had lived between Maui, California, and Hawai‘i Island. Together, they homesteaded a piece of land in North Kohala, where they raised their three sons before relocating to the mainland so Kellie could attend Yale. Their dream was always to bring high-quality medical care back home—and today, Kona is their permanent home. The Acosta family remains actively involved in the local community and is deeply committed to contributing to the health and well-being of the island.

Kellie approaches health with the belief that true wellness integrates mind, body, and spirit. Outside the clinic, she is most proud of her role as a wife and mother—foundations that keep her grounded and inspired. She continues to study the evolving science of medicine with curiosity and discipline and stays active outdoors—especially in and around the water. Through consistent training, learning, and intentional living, she aims to embody the strength, clarity, and vitality she helps her patients pursue.
